Perkins Training started as the bi-product of a greater mission to show others they can live a balanced and healthy lifestyle consisting of both the ability to train and perform and enjoy life and socialising with food. We wanted individuals to be equipped with the tools to overcome challenges through better nutrition, training and mindset. Overall, we are incredibly passionate about helping people push and believe in themselves to succeed with their goal.

KRISTINE PERKINS

Kristine competed in the Australian Sprint Cycling Team for a number of years retiring moving onto a new venture still full of passion for health and fitness in motherhood. Undertaking extensive health and fitness education Kristine has dedicated herself to sharing knowledge, empathy and experience to help alike women reach their full potential. Shortly after retiring from cycling , kristine had their first child gaining over 20+kgs in pregnancy, She knew right away that just because she became a mum she didnt want to just give up on herself. Kristine channelled her athletic discipline and got back into strength training and following her nutrition protocols and dropped the weight. Now Kristine knows what it’s like to carry extra weight, and how it feels to not be as light as you were before you had kids (currently 8 kilos heavier and feeling amazing). This is why Kristine has chosen strength training to be a part of her life and wants to show other women that it’s more than just about a number on the scales. Just when most women would call it there, in 2021 Kristine decided to try her hand in body building, she prepped herself competed in the ICN National titles (NSW) won open class and overall , plus her pro card at her very first comp. Knowledgeable, resilient and determined is a few words to describe Kristine’s tenacity in her health and fitness journey ready to now share to other women.

During his time as a dedicated athlete Shane not only formed mental strength and unwavering determination but also acquired a passion and extensive knowledge of nutrition and training for not only performance and results but also wellness. Amidst his success in competing at a world scale, Shane acquired qualifications in training and nutrition building a reputation for success, results and credible results as an online coach for all goals.

Being in elite sport for 20 years took me around the world and allowed me to achieve things I had dreamed of achieving from a young age. In this elite environment you learn resilience, trust in coaches and support staff and even though you are on your own journey you cannot achieve the highest of achievements by yourself. It takes a team to help you along the way in achieving your goals. It is a very selfish existence chasing sporting goals and this is how it needs to be to have the focus and drive to compete with the best in the world.

Taking this knowledge and putting it in the hands of everyone and anyone who wants to improve health, fitness and happiness is now my goal. Structure, Consistency and Hard Work.

On the completion of my competitive cycling career, it just felt right to change my focus from my own athletic goals to helping others. My purpose is to help you integrate the fundamentals that brought me success which have been proven to get results with my clients from all walks of life who are willing to do the work.
